Across the Universe imagines a home as an interconnected galaxy, where each space reflects emotion, memory, and identity. While the father’s lifelong fascination with space and science fiction sparked the original concept, the design belongs to the whole family: a father, a mother, and a young daughter, moving through their own rhythms, yet always held within the same gravitational field.

The spatial experience is carefully choreographed. The journey begins at a dark-toned entrance, where black walls and soft golden ceiling lights establish a sense of depth and transition. From there, a pale, light-filled corridor opens up, creating a quiet threshold that separates the outer world from the interior universe. Each room is defined by its own tone and atmosphere, just like distinct planets sharing a common orbit. The deep blue living room offers a calm, grounding core. The bedroom, wrapped in warm cherry red and velvet textures, becomes a space of softness and retreat. The bathroom is kept clear and white, with patterned flooring that adds rhythm without excess. Color is used not to impress, but to navigate. Each zone is designed to hold its own gravity while staying visually and emotionally connected to the whole.

The name of the project draws from the Beatles song, which sets the emotional tone for the entire project than just metaphor. Like the music, the design is quiet, steady, and resolute. It encourages the family to express the things that matter to themselves. Whether that means choosing bold colors, honoring a private fascination with the cosmos, or simply allowing each family member space to move and return, the home supports it all with quiet generosity.

This is not a themed interior, but a home built from shared imagination, material precision, and emotional clarity, designed to hold a family and the universe they have created together.
