The Gates Gin

About The Entry

The Gates Gin is one of the products of a Croatian distillery. Located in Rijeka, the brand name is an association of the tipical seaview of the town. Rijeka is a maritime city located in the Kvarner Gulf, and it spreads all along the bay's coast. Therefore all the inhabitants are privileged with a spectacular view at the straits between the islands and the land delimiting the Kvarner Gulf - the Middle Gates (passage between Krk and Cres island) and the Big Gates (passage between Cres island and Istria peninsula). Those passages are long-time symbols of the maritime prosperity and tradition of the city of Rijeka making it the biggest port of Croatia. The Gates brand name and packaging / label design are a contribution to that local maritime tradition, depicting the city's geolocation on a two-sided label - the front label telling a short brand story and the back (no label look) revealing the "map" of the seaview that welcomes the citizens every day.

The label is manufactured on Cotton Black cardboard with copper (the sea at sunset) foil print and white colour.

The neck of the bottle is wrapped with a small miniature of a typical sail rope to emphasize the brand story.
